Okay, this is just me now but "If" I had a Jbody I would look at spending the cash I spent on aftermarket wheels, lowered suspension, and body kits on head porting and one of the new GM twinscrew super charger kits for it. Just a thought for you kid. That look pretty stuff doesn't make power and its heavy so it will infact make you slower.

I agree except for the the fact that the GM Supercharger for the ecotec hasn't been released yet and might not ever be as just a supercharger kit. Rumor has it that GM will just be releasing a crate engine that is supercharged it is destroked from the 2.2L eco (in my car) to 2.0L. For all intensive purposes it will be the engine found in the ion redline. They also have a turbo charged version of the eco which is found in the SAAB 93. Then sometime next year when they release the Cobolt (J-Bodies discontinued) they will also release a crate engine that will be a 2.4L eco that will push 170hp and 170tq N/A.

- So soon there will be options although buying a GM supercharger only might not be one of them -------> yes they do have one for the 2.4L tc but not for the eco as of yet.

- My hope has been for a while they will release a roots type blower for the eco i would be one of the first in line to buy it cruise back to my house and buy a 6-8 lb pulley and I would own a 220hp 220tq cavy with all of the power availiable off the line but as of now that is a mere dream and looking far from reality. i hope that GM engineers get their heads out of their backshides and give the J community what they want but it doesn't look like that day has come yet.

- As far as wasting $$$ on lowered susension the J-body stock suspension is crap so you need to upgrade it in someway if you lan on doing engine mods to your car the wheel hop is bad enough with a stock engine.
