Default Ls1 deck height and compression height??

I have done a fair amount of research, but have never bothered to find the actual deck height. Does this have to do with being zero decked or something else as every once and a while I get his with terms that run past me and I have to play catch up?

The second question is how do I figure out the neccessary and correct piston compression height? I will be using a long rod package 6.125 and possibly offset grinding the crank but need to know what pistons to order or how to order them. Is there some kind of formula or do I just call JE or Diamond and say this stroke, bore, wrist pin, rod length, and type of piston? If there is an easier way please let me know other than one of the standard answers that is always to call Mike Norris or Alan Futral for the specs.

People know I am building a motor, just not what exact size. Is it a stock stroke, or stroker or in the middle, stock bore or larger? I just need to know some basic info.
