I am sure this was said above, but an air box, filter, maf, headers, and a new cat back would be a start. There also is the suspension issue, new rear parts, sub frame connectors, strut tower brace possibly lowering springs etc... While there are performance issues, remember that if the suspension will not handle the power then you start to lose out on what has been done.

Probably not. I have the FTRA (Fast Toys Ram Air) which was good for me but I had no air. I would concentrate on the long tubes, stall and catback.

I have heard the same thing about the flowmaster catback not flowing, but I had mine custom done with an 80 series and that worked out. It would not be the first thing I change, again, though.

I hear good things about the new Yank SS3600's and they were the best. When I blew my tranny and ruined their converter. Sent me a new one on charge. Also they will custom build you any converter you want as they are a pretty small shop so there is no such thing as "they don't make it anymore".

If your going to be adding heads and cam I would also be looking into a 12 bolt as these 10 bolts are not known for their durability. Gears in back will make it a bit easier in the quarter but any gear can go if it is matched too the STR of the stall. See below. Although if I had 4:11, a 12 bolt and slicks I would be 10's. I prefer 80 MPH at 2000 RPM being it is a daily driver.

All wheel drive <smack> what you do not think your car is heavy enough now?

The reason i mentioned that they dont make it anymore is that when i called and spoke to Mike at Yank, he said i couldnt get one anymore. I asked him if he could make one for me and he said no. Although I know they make custom converters. So i went with the SS3600, which I am really happy with!

Cool I was nit "calling ya out" or anything but when I mentioned to him that my 3000TT was not made anymore he made a point of telling me he could make anything I like for $$$. I heard the SS is way better anyway

These rearends aren't as weak as most people think... especially on an A4. There are quite a few guys around here that are, or have run, 10's and 11's with 1.4 60's on a stock 10 bolt. I believe, a certain SS on this board still has his stock rearend in his car, which is deep into the 10's.

Well I am running 11's with my stock 10 bolt but I would not put 4:11's or 3.73's in there and hit the nitrous out of the hole and expect it to hold for too many passes

With my modified tranny, it snaps the shifts pretty hard even with just a light thottle.
