Default Help me out plz, tranny prob

i got a 97 z/28 auto, it has a problem. Whenever you go long distances at constant speed of around 70mph for a while, right when u have to slow down for lets say a stop light, you start accelerating, when the car shifts it kinda throws you back in the seat, like the tranny thought i was at WOT! it's the weirdest thing, hopefully some1 can help me fix this ailment.

Do you have a shift kit /PCM Tuning or anything like that?
If not, then my only guess is to check the tranny fluid temp and fluid level. Also, if you don't already have one, get a transmission fluid cooler.

ya ... im pretty sure it has something to do with temp .. that's probably it because after you let it sit for only like 5 minutes, it shifts fine again, thanks alot spydum.

tranny coolers r relatively inexpensive and easy to install, too, if im not mistaken, right?

no mods to tranny, or anything else for that matter.
