My review of the 2003 Viper
My review of the 2003 Viper
This car looks baaaaddddd ass. Specially with the top down. Dodge added alittle more insulation on the side exhausts so you dont burn your leg as bad getting into the car.
There isnt very much leg room and its easy to hit the acclerator instead of the brake ... no literally there close together a the same level and The clutch release is too high.
No doubt it'll hold a corner but the car isnt nimble. By that I mean the feel of it while turning left and right quickly and how it feels in tight spots, mainly because the car is big and awkward feeling. Also I dont think the cars steering system compensates for over steer.. so the you have to steer alittle more at lower speeds. They couldnt have the steering to touchy because at higher speeds thats bad.
Sound system was good, and the interior was decent.
Power.... yes power... Power comes on nicely. felt like a 500hp 500 ft lbs of torque car should feel.
Overal I like the new twin turbo porches and z06's better. But that Viper gets more looks and can beat the others down in the drag.

Styling is getting mixed reviews amongst the Viper crowd. Performance is getting great reviews, especially the brakes which were the weak link in Vipers from 92-02. Viper purist don't care about sound systems and interiors, they want faster lap times and they want to drive the times, not have the car do it for them. ABS is still a sore subject with some Viper fanatics.
Thanks for not bashing it too badly.

Not sure whos car it was... some young rich guys.
By no means was a bashing the car chuck.. Just a comparison to what else ive driven.
I could tell that you had to be on the ball with that Viper. It doesnt drive itself and its less forgiving than the 911 turbo or z06. But under 3000 rpms its very smooth and streetable.
