Yep...2.2L 16V DOHC.

I kina like the dyno on the rack! Its nice to be able to get under the car and take a peak without being on your back! But, I can see that for ease and speed of dynoing how an inground unit would be nice.
Im cheap!

Plus, whats considered ghetto (i.e. my $4 boost control valve and $5 cold start injector on a pressure switch) in your world is normal in the Dodge world! And, it works like a champ!

As far as whats next, I think I need to redyno with the slicks on with the car unchanged and see what the power really tops out at with 24 psi boost. I think it would jump up about 30-40 hp. I also need to get some better street tires...maybe those M&H street legal slicks or some drag radials.

And...you never know...maybe I will "splurge" and get that boost controller and AFC you recommended

 

Correct...same basic architecture but instead of the 8V SOHC head it uses a 16V DOHC head.

The 16V cars also use DIS rather than a distributor, came with the best transmissions Dodge made at the time, and the most advanced ECUs of the time.

 

My car isnt even in the same league as the K car you are talking about

That K car's last trip to the dyno netted 440 hp and it weighs about 2000-2100 lb. It also uses an automatic at the track (dynoed with a 5 speed for ease) which greatly chops the ET down. The 5 speed Dodges will mph faster, but the autos always ET quicker.
