How the hell does this happen. how do I fix it and what do I do to prevent it gettin worse??

buy a 5th gen!!! j/k some day your car will look as good as mine

 

And someday your sunroof will rust. No its not aftermarket. I have no idea how the hell it happend.

 

it happens... all of the MOON roofs i have had rusted... the seal around the edges get worn and water gets in there and just eats the paint... if its just surface rust you can sand it down and have it repainted, but if its bad you will have to buy a new moonroof...

damn im glad the 4th gen civic hatch si came with a sunroof instead of the crx si moonroof...
