yo fellas, if u remember im new to the forums, and i posted about owning the 1979 TA, well...i dont anymore. i just decided i needed somethin else, so i went and picked up a decent 85 monte carlo SS. its burgandy with orange/red racing stripes. the engine is a 350 4 bolt punched out to a 358, also has a 510 lift crane. its got about 4k miles on the engine, but the carb needs to come down to 650 CFM(750 now). i think im gonna supercharge it. does anyone know of a good low pro. supercharger for a carbeurated engine? if so, or if u have any other ideas on some power post here. BTW the stats now are 408RWHP i wanna get about 550.thanks, pix should be up soon

What heads are this motor? Also what do you have as far as a tranny?

im cathin a beatdown here jeez lol . im not sayin it can do much, cuz it cant. actually i think its kinda slow for those numbers. i saw the dynosheet but i cant remember where from (in st pete i think). it has vortec heads, and flat tops and 9.5:1 comp. dont worry ill try to get pics up soon. until then c ya guys later. oh and the tranny is a reg old 200-4r i wanna get a TH400 tho. and the rearend is a auburn 3.73. peace

Dude 200r4 are extremely tuff trannys Turbo TA and the Buick GN both come with them. You want to keep the overdrive gear trust me. Get a converterand have it rebuilt and you will be happy and it will hold just about anything you are going to throw at it.

hmm thats true. good point man, im gonna seriously think about that. plus itll be way cheaper. and were all on a lil bit of a budget lol, thanx slinger

So do you want an old school blower or a centrifugal? A Weiand 6-71 would look nice sticking out of the hood.
