Push start
Push start
How exactly does pushing a car while cranking it start it? We did it to my neighbors car, had to do it to Hartman's EG when we put my springs on and now im gonna have to do it to my car.....How does this work?

an engine needs to be spun to start..this can either be accomplished by the starter, or by the fact that a rolling car is turning the wheels...and obviously turning over the engine...if it is a manual transmission, or some automatics can be pushstarted...but require a fairly high speed to do so

With a manual, you get the car moving, then start it and release the clutch. The rotating drivetrain acts as a starter.
