Default aem intake

on ebay aem cold air intakes are around $190 plus s&h for my car and short ram is about $85.
for $10 i made my short ram intake into a "cold air intake", not that any real cold air would get into it but it is better.
so my avrage savings were about $100.

my parts:
$3.99 45 degree exhuast pipe 12" long 2.5" in diameter, aem or any other company would charge you $100 extra for the same pipe, how smart are they? pretty good profit for them.

$4 for 3" rubber conector(home depot doesnt have 2.5" so cut off some from the circumfence.

2x metal fasteners about $2

well i cant really get a color to match the polished look of the original intake, so i painted it red b/c it looks better than unpainted steel. i probally wont leave it that color though. also, the crome spray paint isnt really crome looking its just shiny metallic silver. so that wont help.
