ok here is my deal on my 5 speed Maxima im having a problem with my clutch. Its really soft now and it has only been doing this for a few days. I had a brake light on and i went to check my fluid and it was low. So i filled it thinking that it would take care of my clutch as well. but no luck, i talked to my friend and he thinks that my slave is going bad and its not making enough pressure to lift the pressure plate. Im really worried because i have along drive and i need my car to get back and forth to work.

so what do you think could be wrong with it? before i would push the clutch just about 3 inches and it would start to engage but now its more like 6inches. the clutch is still grabbing fine but i can tell its getting harder to get the car in the gears.

Tell me what to buy and i can do any of the work myself ...... its a 96 5 speed maxima se

thats what i thought, now the fun part of trying to find a good deal on one.

 

is there a repair kit, my friend said something that he has seen one but im not to sure about that? he said it comes with new O rings and shit.

 

its not like it really cost all that much to get a new one. and yes there are rebuild kits for them. ide just get a new one.

 

I know when I worked for advance, we had decent prices on that stuff compared to the others, dunno know since they merged with discount and seem to have gone to shit.
