ya hes just resurfacing it, not looking for compression, also his cams are all chewed up, it looks like it was run low on oil for a wile. but his turbo looked to be in good condition, no idea how chewed the baring is tho.

he can benafit from a washer or two shoved in there. for a few psi. but that wasnet my idea that was all his.

You should do like me and just run a straight 3 inch from the dp to the rear diff. That will be really cheap.

and loud too but very functional. adding a 25deg or so bend at the diff and running the pipe up to where its supposed to terminate would be cool. and easy to setup.

you would atleast have to leave the elbow on and some pipe to direct the exhaust downword. a friend has his like this, its loud but spools really quick.

Why be all ghetto and stick shims in your wastegate to bump the boost?

Why not just spend a few bucks and buy a decent boost controller?

the kid is in HS still and works 12 hours a week at best.

when yer that poor the cost of washers that are sitting around his house. vs the cost of ANYTHING else makes a diffrence. even a decent home depot T mod. he cant go get a full time job at reves and fork for a greddy or hks. also the washers couse better spool up then a bleader type. keeps the gate locked closeed longer.
