Default rotory powered Triumph?

I am restoring my 75' Spitfire i was thinking about puting a different motor in the car rather than restoring the original engine. I am thinking of a installing a 13b cause it is small and lightweight. Any other realist ideas on what i could do with this car? Or should I restore it to original condition?

i would go original but with that car. however i have seen one with a SR20DET motor in it. hey if u have lots of funds do a 2jz motor in it. that would be insane fast but traction as always will be a problem. i think im gonna do a DET swap in one of my two '69 datsun 2000 roadsters. good luck with whatever u choose.

no dont have alot of money to spend on it thats why i dont want to put back to original condition and it would be much harder to get the 2jz to fit i would like to put a turbo on it. I hope I can find a wrecked rx7 for cheap and use to powertrain from it.

I have a 1978 datsun 510. My dad got in really cheap for me so that i can get a rotary swap in this bish soon:o . I dont know how well a rotary engine could go in a spitfire but its always something to check it.

the rotary in a spit has always been done by grassroots motorsports.. its their fastest autocross car.... its called appropriately the Ro-Spit... it goes 0-60 in 3 seconds on an NA 13B motor
