Harbor Freight has 0"-6" digital calipers on sale for $19.95. +/- .0005", metric/inch, reset and hold buttons, comes in a hard case with an extra battery. It appears to be a copy of a Mitutoyo. The current catalog has a free shipping plus $5 off the order. That's $15 delivered. Or they have a brand new store at Fletcher and Florida. This is a heck of a steal and surely won't last long.
