Default Labor: Domestic vs. Import

On the older Domestic maybe the newer ones too. The Newer and older Imports. This is what I want to compare. Which do you guys think is easier to work on. Somone who has worked on both. The Domestics look like cake because everything looks like its alot easier to access. Like movability, easy to unbolt and more room. Iam not sure about the new ones I know alot of the newer imports are so crowed with plastic cases, wires and hoses. I was just curious I was watching SpeedVision this morning watching them put toghter a V8. Looks simple.

I dont think its an import VS domestic thing. Some engines are harder than others.some of the hard ones are domestic and some are import. All I know is LS1's are easy.

foxbodies are the easiest, alot of imports are hard cause everything is small and alot of tight spaces. Its not a import or a domestic thing more then a specific model thing.

70 mustang with 302 was easiest i've had, and all you needed to work on it was a screw driver, a 9/16s ratchet, and a hammer.

300zx, and the integra are a different story.
and just because they can, ford put a transverse 2.5 v6 into a compact sedan (contour) using metric and english tools, complete nightmare to work on. had to pull upper intake mani, dust sheilds, smog controls, tb, intake pipe, cruise control, etc... just to change the plugs...
