Today I share a method I use for bolt restoration, which is a DIY form of parkerizing. This can be applied to mot anything made from steel if you have a big enough container to hold it. First the bolts are blasted, then they are soaked in a phosphoric acid and zinc phosphate metal prep solution from Mastercoat for a minimum of two hours, or longer until the desired color is achieved.
