Honestly if I were on my way to buy a car or truck for $14k, pulled over, essentially robbed, and left out to dry with no reasonable way to get my money back I would go Marvin Heemeyer so FRICKIN fast. It is extremely disappointing to see blatant corruption at this level isn't stamped out immediately.

The big downside here is this sheriff is stealing money that has been earned in a state licensed entity. This type of bad faith behaviour is what drives some people to have no faith in police. There is no good side to this.

The fact that the cop said that's it, is crazy to me. To hit the same business that many times is unlawful and that judge should be fired along with whoever is taking the money threw the feds and the police. People who live in that area know not to drive with cash I bet especially minorities. Sad

It all makes perfect sense when you realize that all government officials at all levels of government consider themselves on the same team, so usually facilitate each-other's actions no matter what the "law" supposedly is. Who will hold them accountable: yet other government officials?
