discard the old setup its got a Turbonetics 60-1 with a Godzilla BOV and external wastegate....

 

ya i saw it at a meetup spot on saturday night, first thing i said when it opened the hood was "holy fucking blow off valve", that thing takes up more room than the motor, nonetheless, the car was setup pretty well, had a problem with smoking but the owner said hes been fighting that since he turbo'd the car, supposedly puts out a healthy amount of horsepower, somewhere in the 320 fwhp range, i'd like to see it race an SRT4

 

i asked him to come down to the meet i hosted last weekend at Race Related. He put down 343.4whp and 364.8wt at 20psi on Race gas with detonation (he wasnt gonna push it harder cause hes on his way to Texas to visit his sponsor so he can get new calibrations burned to his computer). Its a pretty sick car, i rode in it most of Saturday night and was shocked to see him run a 12.4 ET best his first time out on 1/4 mile drag strip. His best run and proudest (he was looking for this..) was 12.5 @ 120mph spinning all the way down. Hes got a Quaiffe LSD in a stock tranny with stock axles:o none the less i was surprised.

i didnt plan on having my friend stop by there but i was curious to see if Mr.2 (Eric) was around since he hates Neons so much i figured id let him have a stab at one. Oh well he wasnt there...nonone can say i didnt try

we went out for a bit....ask anyone there it looked pretty harmless but it isnt. Alot of fast neons out this past weekend from all around the state, we had our second annual Florida Neon Statewide Dyno/Track weekened. i hosted the dyno meet at Race Related...we had fun

infact, almost everyone that hangs out @ gandy after 2 has him covered!

 

There are 5 SRT-4s in this area 1 in Eastlake and 2 in Hillsborough. One ran with me in the car did 14.3 with a 2.4 60' then after i hopped out he ran a 14.0 at 100mph stock. At the dyno this stock SRT hit 220whp and 248wt. He didnt wanna race that red neon cause even on his worst run he ran a 13.1. OH BTW theres another turbo neon here in St Pete to watch for, only making 245whp and 205wt he ran a 13.1 at Desoto. Anyone whos ever heard of Car FX will remember the car its a black base 95 sedan...really really basic even still has gray bumpers much like the white boosted 1st gen saturn i saw a few weeks ago

 

i raced him when i was all motor and running at 220# temp

I pulled him, but i was suprised that he even hang, hes lucky i didnt have the bottle on cuz it wouldnt have been pretty
