Want to win at "Lemons" enduro races? Call me.

24 hours of Lemons (Tampa)

I just moved to Florida yesterday and already need some track time. I don't know anyone in Central Florida SCCA yet or really anyone for that matter but hoping to meet some good people to race with. I have never done a Lemons event before but have always wanted to. I have a 98 Neon ACR that is the perfect peice of shit to do it in!!!! I just drove it here 1100 miles and 15 hrs 30 mns only stopping for gas three times so it could be a winner!!! The car needs a lil work (axle, clutch getting weak, etc) but it has a logbook, I have a fresh set of Hoosier A6 tires for it, and I have raced it for years to SCCA time trials and hillclimbs so it's better than starting with a random junker. I don't have a shop here yet so I would need that to complete the work but I do have commercial accounts with advance Auto, AutoZone, and Keystone so I can get parts for next to nothing.

I was told they do a Lemons at Daytona and that would be pretty rad so I need a few more drivers and someone with space to work on this turd so we have a reason to be drinking beers and swinging wrenches getting ready for a track day. The car has a legal roll bar and I ran it in FSP but I think I have to get a cage add on for the front and update the belts but that's not a big deal. It still has all of the ACR goodies such as the 3.94 trans, koni adjustable struts, quick ratio rack, 4 wheel discs, no ABS, it is a no radio/no ac car, and best of all it only weighs like 2250 lbs so it's actually fast and always won it's class up north. I also ran some rallyx events in it so I would be open to that also. If you are interested in starting up a Lemons crew give me a call or shoot me a text and let's do it! Ronnie D 813-404-4052

I live right down the road from Tampa airport. I have truck, trailer, car...just nowhere to complete the needed work at the moment but I am looking and most importantly nobody to do it with. It always looked super fun and the Neon is the perfect car. It's crappy yet still competitive, I shit all over the brand new VW's that ran against me in the hillclimbs and they make a lot more power. After I had put that post up a guy ran a red light and hit me in the Neon so it got another speed dent and maybe knocked a little rust off to make it lighter.

There is a rallyx on June 16th I. St. Lucie that I'm thinking about going to, I have snow tires for it to run on dirt being as how I've done a few rallys in it also. I honestly think the car will go all 24 hours as long as there is enough people to drive it and from what I have heard if you can even finish the event it's pretty much a win. Sebring would be awesome!!!!! I have never been there but it's been a bucket list track for me. I have raced at Watkins Glen, Pocono, and NJ Motorsports Park for the most part and I ran the hills in PA. Hillclimbs are the most fun you can have in a car but now being in Florida there is a slight lack of hills to run up lol. Lemme know if you are still interested and I'll give you as much info on the car as I can or we can meet up for lunch or something sometime and I'll drive it there.Thanks,Ron813-404-4052
