What's the average cost to have a custom roll cage installed? Are there any good shops around (Tampa/Sarasota/Bradenton)? I'm going to need to have one installed in my next project car (fiberglass VW dune buggy).

While a good fabrication shop can custom designing one for you it will probably set you back a pretty penny.

Before you go that far you might want to see if there are any prefabbed units out there that will work for you.

There's a guy in Sarasota that does a lot of custom welding work. He welded my roll cage in and he's making the front section for me. It isn't going to be cheap, but his prices are pretty good imo. PM me and I'll give you his number. He did a full roll cage in his BMW that is kick ass, you could go down and look at it so you can see his work. PM me..

Thanks. I know its not going to be cheap since I'm looking into a 6 or 8 point roll cage to tie everything together. I'm just trying to get some general ideas of cost right now.
