Default The Next Z

If it looks like that with 350hp then I'm game.

2016 Nissan Z: 25 Cars Worth Waiting For 2014–2017 – Future Cars – Car and Driver

Why It Matters: In a lineup fraught with frugal four-cylinders paired with CVTs, the Z is as much an outlier as the GT-R. But Nissan needs the Z to tend the fire, reminding the world of the Datsun days when affordable performance was more of a corporate priority than cross-dressing crossovers. Godzilla may be the halo car, but it now costs six figures.

Hideous front.. that grille is ridiculous.... Its an obvious "sketch" or rendering but I can only hope it gets better.... Its like the 300zx from the 90's, I have owned several and I can attest to their garbage interior, poor engine design, overall poor design - but people still love it. The 350z came out with some of the most bland interiors in all of the automotive world and was generically put together but served it's purpose of the rebirth of the z line. The 370z came out with a better interior, seductive body lines, neat colors and lots of space for humongous wheels but they messed up with the head and tail lights and the absurd price tag.
If they release this car, it HAS to have a turbo version, Has to bring back the cockpit design that has been lost.. Otherwise, all the other brands will continue to hand their asses to them and only fear it's big brother the GTR

Subaru Sti's, Mistubishi Evo's, Ford Mustangs, Bmw 135's, Chevy Camaros.. just to name a few... Granted, this is a stock for stock comparison and not talking about modified cars. I personally have always had an interest in the nissan Z brand as a previous owner of several 280, 300, and a 350, Plus when I was employed at a local Nissan dealership, I was exposed to them. But I always conclude that they always fall short on some way. Everyone even the Chevy Sonic has a turbo in it. Europe has embraced the turbo. Why has Nissan stayed away from the turbos in the z cars since the z32 with that hideous engine design. Im just sayin, they should step their game up besides from making the car look more squiggly...

if were comparing cars for sale now to the 350z its not a fair comparison, if we are not the only car that beat them was the evo stock for stock. Now the 370 is another story, I just wanted to clear the air there.

I agree these cars should be turbo'd, that said just give it a few years and see what 07-08 350's and all 370's will be doing with forced induction. The HR motors are looking pretty solid so far. Theyre not completely hopeless.

They made 350z's till 08, most of the cars rey listed were being manufactured and sold then as well...

IIRC STi's also beat them, pretty sure s2000's are faster from factory as well. Hell I took down a few modded z's a few years back in my bolt on, untuned wrx, those cars are pigs.

We just got a brand new 370Z Nismo edition on the showroom at Crown Nissan. Nice car until I seen the 47K price tag. There's no way that it's a 50 thousand dollar car. Not sure what this new Z will go for but chances are the price won't go down from what it is now.
By the way the new design looks terrible. Looks like the rendering of the 2015 Mustang.
