I remember in 87 when I went with my dad to Crown Nissan on us19 and he bought a 1987 Nissan Sentra E for 5900.00 Brand new - zero miles... Yes, it was an econobox but it worked as a point a to b car. If Nissan relaunches the Datsun brand, the sky is the limit after that... Imagine a 5500 econobox car here.. Brand new... It would sell like hot cakes no matter how it looked

Nissans cheapest econobox Versa starts at 15k

Datsun was brought to US Market so it wouldn't tarnish the Nissan brand incase it failed. There is no need to bring Datsun back to the US market.

Datsun had beautiful cars/trucks. I'm not a huge fan of Nissans current lineup. Except for a few of their models.

That would not happen here, our greedy ass government has way too many fastidious embargos, taxes, safety requirements, and other loopholes. By the time it was sold here it would cost at least twice as much, which is a sad sad thing.
