2002 Camry
raising the limiter wont help without going into the head of the engine anyway. Any of the fe heads with toyotas arent designed to rev high. they are designed for good emissions and low end torque to make your grandmother proud. Raising the limit, if a rod doesnt end up poking through the block, will just net slower acceleration and more noise.
Same goes for the old camry 4 cylinder, the 5sfe, same motor thats in my MR2. I shift at 5500...because thats where the ideal shift point is.

5s-fe with plenty a modification. however i wanted something with a cheaper potential to be faster so i got another car.
you would be surprised what the 5s-fe can do with some work. torquey little econoengine.
bolt on 3s-gte manifold, turbo, oil pan, get some other parts and run a low cost turbo setup.
or build it and run 10s like a guy in west palm beach (in an mr2 tho)
