i just recently bought my first car and i'm just trying to get a few cheap mods for it..i have an 04 infiniti g35 4dr sedan
first thing i wanted to do was put some nice rims on but the only racing brand i know is bbs and i know there are plenty of others out there
so if you have any suggestions of what i should get or any brands that are good it just post it in a comment and it would help me to start making my car my mine

my advice,
figure out what you want the end result to be.
If you are looking to build a full on VIP style, slammed on the ground, super wide, super tucked up wheels, and all of that, then you're going to go a totally different route than if you were to want a daily driven MPG king. Or even enhancing the sport performance out of it.
You've got a world full of wheel choices. Stick to name brand, quality wheels. Knock offs are cheap for a reason.
To sit here and try to list off all of your choices would be kind of pointless, especially if you haven't decided what you want your car to end up like.
My advice, start finding pictures of other cars. Even pictures of different models. Start getting some ideas together and come up a concept of what you want your car to be.
Then start piecing the pieces together.
It really is your car. Like you said, you're trying to make your car, your own. We can tell you want wheels to use, or anything else.
What we can do, is help you decide between two or more options. If you don't know what a good wheel is, then maybe post up some that you like, and we could help you point out the good from the bad.

all i'm thinking of doing right now is making it a little better in performance and and a couple of body modification such as tint, rims, spoiler so if you know of a site were i can look at some rims or any other body items that would be helpful...and performance wise ism probably going to get an air intake, new headers & exhaust, maybe add a stage 1 performance chip and a couple of other minor performance modifications that won't blow my engine lol

1. You just got your first car. Learn how to drive it. Why do you need to mod it for? Leave it alone. Get used to it. The way it handles, the way it drives, the way it pulls, etc.. etc..
2. You don't need nice rims on a 04 G35. Leave it the way it is and save your money for now.
3. Why do you need racing rims on a 04 G35 4dr sedan for?? Especially since it's your first car. Learn to drive. Period.
4. Your car is already yours. You don't need to add anything to it to make it yours. Just leave it the way it is. LEARN to drive".

^ sort of agree with what he said, but there is nothing wrong with personalizing a little. oh and as far as quality performance parts z1 motorsports is the way to go, but be warned, quality performance for datsuns is not cheap! Z1Motorsports.com - Nissan 300zx, 350Z, 370Z, Infiniti G35, GTR, and G37 Parts and Performance Experts.
Cheap + Mod = Bad Combo. Save for the best parts you can buy and carefully plan out what do do. The scattergun approach to cheap modifications is why we saw the rise and fall of the "ricer" movement of the early 2000s.
I'm not gonna hate on you for wanting to wrench on your first car. I bought my first (cheap, shitty) car at 15 and it had intake and exhaust mods before I had a license. The only thing I will tell you is to pick a theme, research, choose good parts, and have them installed carefully. As you gain experience with driving and working on cars, step up the cost and complexity until you get it to where you want it.
My "edvice"? No one is gonna mistake an 04 G35 4Dr for a sports or race car. Avoid spoilers, chips, engine mods, and anything sporty for now.. However, since it's the entry-level of the "near luxury" segment, a nice set of wheels, a good tint job, and a lowered suspension setup will give your car the "VIP" look. Add a nice sound system and take religious care of the paint and body and you'll have a unique car that won't look like anything else out there. Just be stylish and avoid trying to make the car something that it isn't. Take it from me - I used to rock a Daewoo with a wet nitrous setup. It just doesn't work.
Now - to answer your question directly. Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels is a great resource for for wheel shopping. They have a huge selection and even have a feature that will allow you to see how the wheels look on your car before you buy them. You don't have to buy from them, but it will give you an idea of prices and how new wheels will look.
As for tint? I've had good experience with Alley Auto Tint and Bayou Tint down in Seminole. But honestly? Most places do a good job - just call around for prices. Don't go lower than the legal limit and make sure you get some kind of a receipt as most places will offer a lifetime warranty.
Good luck, have fun, be safe.
