I remember 10-12 years ago you couldnt even touch them... Then the prices over the years went from 900 to 800 then 700 last year i couldnt believe when i was able to pick one up from a jdm importer for $550 with a warranty. Just for shits and giggles i was looking on tiger japanese web site and there $395 !! just crazy there that cheap now.... there must be some overwelming amount of these coming over in the shipping containers or something.....

i dont think so. i dont see a motor that was submerged under water for a long time ever really being a running motor again. especially salt water

 

Aren't they pretty weak internally? wouldn't be my first choice if I were swapping a Honda

 

depends on tune. phearable aka jonny vega tuned a bone stock block to 350 wheel hp and it lasted 3 years.

 

You buy your engines from Tiger Japanese ? I've read lots of bad testimonies from people that have purchased from them. Now that I think of it I've never heard/read one good story about them.

 

That's it? I'd be pissed if my motor only lasted 3 years! Guess I've just never understood why people put SUV motors in their cars. I know with chevy's if you put a truck motor in a car it won't turn the RPMs the same motor from a car would. They are made different because yep you guessed it... it's not a car! Hondas could be completely different though IDK I'm not a ricer I mean racer.

X2 on Tiger. Never heard a positive comment. When we swapped a B16 in my buddy's CRX we steered way clear of them...

? well to be making 3 times the power of the stock output of the b20, and beating the shit out of it daily at 18psi in florida heat...... 3 years on that itsnt bad.... even after all that it was the stock oil pump that failed....
