How bad is this?
If you need a place to take your friend to learn, the parking lot at the dog track (on gandy - st. pete side) is really good. It's always empty - trust me, it's where I learned (for the second time)
. Another good place are subdivisions, you get the street practice without all the traffic. And whatever you do, don't get pissed at your friend if he/she doesn't pick it up right away, that's the worst thing you can do. Good luck! :monkdance:

I tought myself how to drive a stick after I bought my truck. I went out to the races at Gandy (when the races were real races) and drove through the sand on the beach with a bunch of high dollar, big block cars behind me. The last thing I wanted to do was stall in line or spin my tires in the sand...one night of that and I was good to go from then on
