Free server/local host?
Ok
I dont know if any of you know about Ultima Online,There are a bunch of free servers out there.On cable/dsl you can host up to 60-80 people pending on the comp stats.BUT the biggest FREE online server I seen in the US had about 350 players online playing.
Well I helped run free servers for 2-3 yrs,I have been out of it for about a year now.I want to find a local serving company that wouldnt mind helping me with a server/or the connection.Since this is a FREE server and NO money is going tobe made at all,and non to profit off from, dont want to pay for a host or maybe pay a small share.
With the right comp and connection this game can hold up to 350 players online.I was pretty know in the Sphere/Ultima Online community and once I find out abotu a host,I can get my team/staff back of developers ,scriptors and players.
If you know anything about this game I had players from Turkey,France,Spain,Australia,US,Japan,Canada..So the thing good about this that theres not just one peek time,theres always players online.
I just got a nice case for a server from Jeff G but I think I may keep thisfor my self,and try to run it on my out dated HP 60mgz/256 mg ram,10 gig HD..
I would like a faster procesor I will need a HD 20-60 would be good,
If things look good on a host/ and I need to get my own server I just might build a nice fast server,Anything over 1.2 gig.
I have met alot of Tampa Bay area players on my server before,
I want to get this going like how it used to be and get back being US #1 free Sphere/UO server.
If you never played UO,you can literaly get lost in the game,When I was new to it ,you can be lst for days with out seeing 1 player.
Like I said the server will be free,If any of you can help me out in anyway plz contact me either AIM /email
Help me find a good sized hosting company,not a small one who just subs it the the big boys.If any of you have spare parts,keyboards,HD,ram etc..Let me know if you would like to make a donation for this server if this server doesnt stay online or we stop workin on it,I will offer you back your items.

Thats not legal..
Thats one thing about this game..Your suppose to own or obtain* your own Software to play You can use the store bought CD,just DONT register it,With the change of the login server file,and cleint,You just opened your door to 100s of free online servers where,You dotn have to pay $10. a month to play on the game developers servers.
Its free and legit and its been online for free servers for about 5 yrs now.
