Let's not give away the best car communities....

but god the most pretentious assholes I've met thusfar has been the subaru crowd down here in Florida/NASIOC. Never have I seen so much bullshit passed around as if it was truth.

Easiest way to tell if a car community is nice/caring or shitty/douchey: Look at the age of users/participants. Younger = more inexperienced = HEYLOOKATMEICANDRIFTYO. Older = more distinguished, can actually afford and does not waste money on pep boys/autozone discount aisle rice parts.

 

I've owned many different makes of cars and it seems the VW crowd has been the worst IMO. Honda is hit or miss due to the popularity of the cars but it seemed like every VW guys shit didn't stink. Not so much on here but VWVortex was the worst forum i've ever been a part of...

Aside from that I work with a lot of PRicans and from what I can gather from their experiences those guys are cut-throat thieves in the rotary world. No first hand experiences though.

My best is my current Full Size Chevy group. Very helpfull, not biased, just all around good people. I know it's a lot because they are all middle aged "adults" but aren't we middle aged "adults"? Well some of us are...

 

You must not get around to many communities if you honestly think older crowd means better people. Obviously younger groups are more prone to do dumb shit, but I've seen plenty of older guys just as willing to partake in the dumb shit.

 

Most of us older farts have done more then our share of dumb shit stuff.

Wow no1 mentioned how white people steal shit... You guys throw ethnicity around too much. Every background has their good and bad people. I don't hate all black people because a few are shit bags, I don't hate all Latino people because a few are shit bags, I don't hate white people because a few are shit bags....... Yes I know you guys didn't mention anything about hating anyone, but one simple questioned turned out to be how the PR people are thieves... That wasn't the question. The question was about Car specific communities. i.e Tamparacing, newcougar, Corvetteforum, RX7club, RX8club, etc.. etc.. Not Puerto ricans steal so the rotary group are a bunch of whatever, or the VW scene sucks cause their all stuck up and a lot of the puerto rican people are thieves, etc.. etc..

 

actually, my question aims to disregard sites like tamparacing. I'm asking about SPECIFIC CAR communities, doesnt have to be online either. Basically just what was your experience with whatever car when you reached out to others with said car.

The only white guys Ive known to be thieves, in my limited experience in the car scene, was Japdanny and the mark my wurds kid.

Around here and around Orlando, alot of the puerto ricans are thieves (shout out to you la fiebre). They earned that rep. A ducks a duck man, I wanna hear honest opinions, not canned and marked for mass consumption opinions.

 

 

 

Honda forums have some stand up guys for the most part. It's the damn highschoolers that ruin most boards. TBSS forums guys are willing to travel 50+ miles to help you, all for A case of beer and A pack of cigs . DSMtuners.com was pretty damn bad as well. Some of those guys are down right pricks.
