Question about side molding
On my car, the side molding is in three pieces: a 2 or 3 inch one in the front, one all the way across the driver's door and one on the back door. Its all black except for the front on, which is faded to a grayish color. What is the best way to get this back to black? Is there a best brand of paint or should I try a junk yard and pry one off.....if thats the case, how do i take the molding off?
Me & you have the same problem. You can call a body shop, and for a good price, they will take all the side molding off, and replace it with brand new side molding of your desired color. Hope this helped...

EDIT- if you try to take it off yourself...eh... just dont, I tried.. wasnt a good idea.

Well see, none of the body shops can give you estimates on side molding replacements, because all cars are diffrent, have diffrent size molding, etc. Open the phone book to "Automotive" and look under Auto Body, call some Body Shops, tell them what kind of car you have, and ask for an estimate, I didn't find one that would give me an estimate on the phone, but you can try... what the hell am I saying? Find one, call them, and if they say they do side moldings, just bring it into them. Im making this sound confusing, LoL!
