I dont really think it matters where you take them, resurfacing is resurfacing. When i worked at Sears (4-5 years ago) i think we were doing them for like 10-15 a piece if you brought them in off the car. Im sure most shops are probably around the 10 a piece range. Sears was always a little more expensive than the little shops because of their name.

I always wondered how much a person could save. I've always replaced the rotors.
How do you know your particular cars rotors need resurfacing?-Bob

why would you always replace the rotors? thats wasting money. each car has a specific MM spec that is reccommended to be safe to resurface too.

I only resurface if there was no brake issue to begin with and I am doing a full brake job. If there was pulsing or warpage..I always replace the rotors. Especially on GM vehicles...GM OEM rotors SUCK.

I always just replace mine too. The difference in cost was not enough to discourage it. $10-15 a rotor to resurface and the time to wait.

Cost is not worth it when you can go to the auto parts store and get new cheap ones. I only resurface if I know someone can hook me up, and if the rotors are worth resurfacing. No sense in resurfacing cheap Chinese throwaways.

Yeah I getcha. I would start buy googling it on maps and looking at business reviews then calling around and asking about pricing.

If you still feel like it's the most economical and efficient way to go, then go for it.
