You know why the burger king meet off US19 was so successful for so many years? Look at the crowd that went.
Badass classic cars with respectful owners = good business
Typical imports and their dumbass owners = bad business
IIRC, Q105 was also at the BK meet every Saturday, I miss that meet, I would go almost every week

I remember going to one of those meets along Hillsborough and by god there was a parade of rice. Walk inside and its a bunch of dumb asses causing trouble, getting in fights, yelling and not buying a damn thing. These people aren't baby sitters, they are workers and they shouldn't have to put up with it.

You are right about the way people act determining what happens. I go to
both import meets and also to the hot rod meets like you do. The atmosphere
and well mannered people may overide the increase in income. After awhile
restaurant people don't like the crap when they find they can do well without it.
I also go to bike meets. 3,000 bikes were in Plant City last month according to
the cop I was talking to. They were well mannered like the hot rod meets and
the merchants made money. Jerks drive away business.-Bob

On the subject of jerks driving away business, I also relate that to jerks driving people away from
websites. Here's approximately what I told someone earlier tonight.
Websites thrive from forums with discussion. Member abuse does not promote discussion. Allowing
jerks to abuse other members may be one of the reasons that several thousand visitors come to
TR each month, yet maybe ten stay with us.
I think people don't join or stay on a site knowing that they and their opinions are about to get
the same abusive treatment that they are reading about; being given to someone else. On some
dealer-sponsored sites the admins are conscious of their image to the public and get rid of problem
members to keep the good members and to keep a cleaner image to the public.
Here's an example that will get you deleted at the Lexus/Scion/Toyota sites......
