I'm trying to decide what to do, autocross or drag race. What do you think is best and why?

open road course does take the cake, autocross however is a close second. and drag third IMO.....because......

autoX is not nearly as expensive to have fun.

an autox is always different different course different competitors different outcome.

as to where a drag race is just a straight line, no matter how many different times you go it is always a straight line

plus in drag you have to spend more money to get a better time, as to where in autox you can improve your performance by doin a lil in house maintainence (just be a better driver)

i drag from time to time just because i like to know where i stand, but im not that competitive amongst most drag racers just because they have all dropped plenty of money into their car to make it faster in a straight line than mine.

however i can take that very same car that i lost to on the drag strip by better than 2-5 seconds and then SPANK them at an autox

where i am 5 or more seconds off the pace in drag racing, i am less than 1 second off the pace or sometimes setting the pace in autox.

that is what i like about autox, is that you always stand a chance.

you go up against a car with double even triple your power in a drag race you will lose 100 times out of 100 (barring the faster car breaking) as where in autox power for the most part dosent matter

 

which proves my theory that slow cars autocross

 

how does it prove that? Just because slow cars can do well (as can fast cars) doesn't mean fast cars go.
