Default Stupid Question: ( Iknow Jack about hondas)

Like I said I don't know shit about Hondas but...
A friend of mine has a 99 Civic DX stock except for rims, pretty gay ones too, but thats another story. Anyway does the greddy turbo kit work with it or is it just for SIs?? And what motor is in it??
