I have not been to the Tampa machinery auction and was looking at going. Anyone been there recently that can tell me if it is worth going? There site looks the same just did not know if there were people there running up price on stuff. Also, anyone know about the new auction on County Line Road between Lakeland and Plant City. It looks like they are just starting out based on the site they have at www.countylineroadauction.com . Anyone know anything?

I was looking into those too. Need to pick up a new work truck. "they" say those auctions are the place to go for things like that.

 

If your looking for a car try and find someone with a dealers license to get you into a dealer only auction. Public auto auctions are shit.

ive bought a few cars at dealer auctions and made out quite well. I ended up finding someone with a dealer license and paid him to go with me so it was worth his time.

 

Empire, it has been a couple of years for me but the machinery auction had a lot of stuff. It also had a lot of regular people buying cars and trucks. I have been to some auctions this year and it seems that tv has hurt the some of the ones I have been to. You just got to be careful on cars and trucks as these people will run the price up more than it is worth. I drove by the County Line Road Auction last night on the way home. That place looks really nice. I am going to go to this one Thursday night. I will let you know how it goes. I did see on their web site they had a truck.

Garrett, you are right about the dealer auctions. I think you can stil find some good deals. I have made out pretty good at a couple.

 

I think the tampa machinery auction is waaaay to full of people to get a good deal on normal cars.

 

I went there about 3 times and it was fucking hot and full of people. First time I went I was just checking the prices out and it seemed like they were alright, next time I went all the similar cars were going for almost dealer prices. It really depends when you go and what you're looking for.

Hey guys, I said I would follow up. I have been busy so sorry for being late. I did end up going to the county line road auction in plant city last Thursday. It was pretty dam good. The place was packed. There was a guy there that bought some nice stainless mufflers for a rice burner for 13 each. Another guy bought some hid head lights for 15. I say bought...They were selling everything with no reserve. There was a lot of people there.
