Anyone going to Street Heat? This Saturday
Because you claimed that I had make belief numbers. Theres your proof, again nothing special. IDK why you would think someone would make up times that slow.
My point was that you with your mad tyte awesome 14 second car have no room to SPECULATE on the preparation of a track.

Even a 15 second car can be a 16 second car if you can't get off the line. I've ran before and spun off the line, at Bradenton I am holding back from spinning because it will more than likely result in wheel hop and I don't have traction bars. I am betting on a 2.0 60ft on street tires next time I run which would put in me the low 14's.
getting your car to the 1/4 requires you to make it work first thru the 1/8th mile!!!!!!
once u get past that first 1/8th mile, the other is for peaple that cant set up a car and
just trying to catch up.
do a little research on 1/8th mile racing b4 u bash it, it levels the playing field for any combo
makes u work to get your set up rite, not just throw a turbo on it and hope for the best on the
other end!!!!

I like the 1/4 mile just because cars can play catch up. Thats usually where I get my ass handed to me, I will run side by side or ahead for the 1/8th then they rip past me because I have nothing to spool. I see nothing wrong with it, the faster you go the more fun it is. That extra 20MPH I pick up in the last half of the track makes it more fun for me just because on the streets I would get in trouble for that. Even if I had a car that was fast in the 1/8th I would much rather run the 1/4 more where the risks are greater. That's what makes it fun knowing if something goes wrong you might end up in the hospital for quite some time.

But thats the fun of it, I'm out there to race myself, have fun and improve my driver skill. I went 14.893 @ 95.59 then the next pass 14.737 @ 95.51 and then said that is all I wanted to do, good enough I want to make it home without a tow truck this time. So in 1 run I made a .156 improvement. First time out there with the setup I thought that was a nice advancement.
