yeah, that's great and all for a race motor, where you put everything together just to run an event or two before you rebuild it again.

any motor you want to last should be broken in gently.

what you guys do not realize is that the motor you are referring to is probably re-built after every race so longevity is not a concern. but look at the crew and that should tell you there level of expertise. i mean one guy is standing on the motor ! and what is the average age of the rest of these thugs? 25

yeah i would let them build me something whetjer they are supposed to be the honda gods or not

who really cares how old they guys are as long as they know what they are doing?

He has his foot on the motor mount and the slick, not the motor itself, bfd, when I work on my truck I sit down inside the engine compartment, it's all about saving your back.

Definately breaks every rule in the book about breaking in an engine!

Side note: the car ran a 9.1@16x on the next pass - unibody car
Second note: check out that turbo! :o
Breakin is only required for selected new components and surfaces.

If you just tear down and properly reassemble a motor it needs no break in whatsoever. Its already broken in.

I see no rules being broken here.
