Default Speeding Ticket

So I got a speeding ticket for the first time and I was doing 78 in a 55. I was thinking about going to a lawyer but I was just wondering is it worth taking it to a lawyer or pay the fine and do the school?

if it is your one and only ticket then I would just pay it and take the class. the class takes the points off and that's all insurance sees.

the only reason I would go for more than that at that point would be if driving was part of my job or something like that.

otherwise, no big deal at this point.

Lowest Price Traffic School | Florida Online Traffic School

You can take it online there, that's the one I used

I haven't gotten a ticket in a while but I am pretty sure if you take the class the price of your citation also goes down.

They discount you a little to factor in that you're taking the class....Which gives some of that money back to the state. So in reality, you're paying the same amount. But yes, it's a "Discount."

I get tickets all the time. DO NOT go the class unless you NEED to. You only get three in your lifetime. Use them wisely. Do not get a lawyer. Way too expensive. It's only a speeding ticket. Select the court option. Show up in slacks and collared shirt. Please, please do not show up with sneakers, jeans or a t-shirt. Do not argue with the judge. Do not lie. And don't give some stupid defense like, "I don't speed."

The judge will most likely give you a non moving violation or seatbelt infraction and not give you any points. Also, if the cop doesn't show up, you win and you never have to say a word!!!

By the way, how old are you and how long have you had your license? That might also determine the judges mood.
