BMW's are just as expensive as any other import. Like ^ said, at dealerships and specialty shops... Ive driven bimmers since i started to drive, you can find plenty of places at affordable prices. The difference is that when you buy a honda or nissan somehow everyone and their mother becomes a mechanic. Maybe thats why so many of them are such POS... hmmm...

Thats fucking retarded. Its a car. What kind of idiot seriously talks shit to someone because of what make and model of a car they drive?
I'm not a fan of the 4-cyl Mustangs, myself. They get awesome fuel economy, but holy hell are they underpowered. Its tragic, really. I wouldn't expect much from a 4-cyl in a Mustang shell, but its actually painful to drive those things. Unless you get an SVO, then its like WHEEEEE!
If you come across a GM with a 3800 motor in it, thats going to be a good buy. I've got one with 173k on the clock and it starts up and runs and drives fine. Old Hondas and Toyotas are a dime a dozen and are plenty reliable, as long as you don't buy some kid's riced out Fast and Furious movie prop. Can be a bit more expensive to fix, but rarely break to begin with.
