Default In need of a good shop to go to

I need my valve seal changed on my sohc 1.5 and i need to where i can take it with out getting rape.

That's a pain in the a$$ job labor is what kills on that one.

it really isnt that bad of a job. take the head off and take it to clearwater cylinder head on ulmerton.

get a used head in good shape, and put that on in your driveway... easier and cheaper.

every where i call they qoute me on changeing every thing in the head $400 to $500

I needed a lot of work done to my head, I took mine to National Cylinder Head in Tampa. Really great people there. They really know my motor a lot. I don't know about yours though. Took me though the shop and everything. Showed me everything they are planning on doing. Also took before and after shots of my block, for resale purposes. I had a dissemble, cleaning, reinstall of the entire valve train, 3-angle valve job of the valves, re-shimming of the lift buckets for larger cams, strech testing on the springs, and then re-assembly of all other parts. Costed me $325, as a flat rate. Very good price for really great work.
