Thanks for the invite, Dr Morty. This was a fun meet.
We were almost in the Sarasota/Bradenton backyard and some of those guys missed it.
Drenica Customs Auto sent a couple cars down from Holiday Florida. There were
some wagons and some old school cars and my 89 Accord fitted in well. There
was one really cherry wagovan with 68,000 miles on it......looked brand new...
perfect interior.......Man!.........sometimes a person is just in the right place at
the right time........

I did a clutch job for someone that morning that kept me from going to the Yank Krew meet and
birthday party at Fort Desoto, but when finished, I floored the gas. Arrived in my working
clothes......not the first time.....

Exit 16 drops down between the legs of the Interstate and I turned right at the stop sign.
Immediately I was in the park! Man that was easy. I got there late, but the chili was still cooking.
If anyone thinks the pics of the Wagovan Camper are faked, you should have seen it.
I build things myself and I can really appreciate a good fabrication. Clean. Well thought out.
This was more than just a cut off wagon.

Once the frame was built under the car for towing, weight was pulled out. Rear suspension was
stock. Carpeted dash was built and that's no firewall on the front. It was spot welded all the way
around, fiberglassed and painted. Doors shut perfectly and the bed inside was on a flat floor and
a perfect fit. All the cooking supplies fit under the slide-out shelf
made from tool box drawer slides and there was a choice of stove or grill. Slip-in bands
for utensils on perfect fitting pegboard....

The park is another best-kept secret and is the only one I know of that has a frizbie golf
course....no joke. We were in a tree shaded area with a view of the Skyway Bridge, a beach and
sailboats. We did not have to fight for a shelter or put up cash, either. Home made chili and
hot dogs were on the menu and I ate at least 4 bowls.......really good stuff!. Nice breeze and
pleasant but not hot. No loud music. No burnouts. A real peaceful afternoon.

Later on after looking at some cars we started talking about what some people call
dangerous stunts.....as guys are sometimes prone to do. Included were the
compressed air/water cannon, detonated air bags and tales of shooting rats 200
yards over the trailer park.....no animals were caught or killed in the telling of the tales,
as a disclaimer....and I'm not talking except when you catch me at the meets I go to.
I'm not telling you how to get in trouble.......except face to face........

Thanks Doc for putting up Pebbles and Bam-Bam for a few days before they headed to
Key West. Thanks for the invite and thanks for the take home chili. I had a great time.-Bob
