where can I find a machine shop in tampa I can trust ?
how much should I have them shave the head ?

Eislee's over on Broadway before Falkenburg does very good work.

 

I used to use Eislee's but on the last block I had them bore they did not use the specs I supplied them. They thought they were too tight and decided to use their own. They did this without telling me before hand. Needless to say I was rather pissed off. I've heard of them boring some other peoples blocks more than they wanted also. I'm still using Eisle's for heads but not for blocks.

The Engine Lab has nice people working there and they listen to what you tell them.

Dwan's (sp) is also very good.

 

I heard that " godwins " in downtown st. pete was very good....

Has anyone had experince with them

 

I believe it's Goodwins and yes they are excellent. My father has had plenty of motor machining done there, and they have been there for ever.
