Default Nitrous question

Running a 75shot on my 96 318ti BMW, gripping rather well with my 17inch wheels. I still own my stock 15inch wheels. Should i use my 15inch wheels when racing at the strip? (with good rubber of course). I heard that nitrous applications should use smaller wheels, since the top end falls off dramatically. This True?

You want more side wall when you drag race...
Each car is different on how much or little tire/rim you need to drag race.

As an example...... a 16x8 rim with 245-50-16's with hook better than say a 275-40-17 on a vehicle with 300+ foot pounds of torque.
A viper runs X/50/x on the back and X/40/x on the front because it needs the extra sidewall to help it hook better.

Chances are with your BMW you will run better with your 15 inch tires...

wrong way off, a viper comes with:

Original Equipment Front 275/35-18
Original Equipment Rear 335/30-18

and also i wouldnt waste my time putting NAAAWWWZZZZ on a 3 series, unless it was an M3.
