Default I must be get'n old....'cause I dig this!

I can't believe I'm writing this, but I actually like a Buick! That hasn't happend since the Grand National in the late 80's/early 90's.

I saw this new Buick Regal GS at the new car show last weekend, and I've been thinking about it ever since. It's not a very ;arge car, I'd say slightly smaller than a Fusion, but wider. Built around the German made Opel Insignia OPC I believe. It's got a 255HP Turbo 4 with 295 ft/lb or torque, AWD with a a RWD bias, and a 6 speed manual transmission, adaptive suspension, leather recaro style seats, big ass brakes, and all kinds of creature comforts you'd expect in a BMW or Lexus but in a Buick????!!!! And probably for just a tick or so over 35G's.
The one pictured is a prototype, but insiders insist that it's actually the production GS we'll see in showrooms mid 2011. Could be interesting....or maybe I'm just old now. Either way, could be the best thing out of GM since the Pontiac G8 GT.

I don't like the front end so much, but everything else looks and sounds great!

Those large vertical bumper openings ruin the whole car.

Interior is nice.

Will wait to see how they hold up. I'd rock one in black maybe.

finally steppin' up their game.
I was pretty impressed when I saw them at the auto show.
personally, I couldn't get past the "buick" part.

. "oh, what do you drive? That's my Beamer out there, and you? That's my lexus over there, what about you bub? Oh, me? I drive that blue Buick on the end of the second row, right there under that tree."

Just something about that conversation doesn't fit right

agreed.

but maybe they are supposed to be functional.. oil cooler on one side. intercooler on the other?

they probably won't stand out so bad if the car was a darker color.

Kinda looks like they mixed a bmw with a mazda
