all of the scrap yards will take it, it will be weighed as general steel scrap which is what, 6 bucks per 100 pounds? could be wrong on the prices, been a while since I dealt with it.
you would almost be better off stripping it down and bolting some wheels to it and a nice piece of tempered glass and making a bad ass little table out of it. Might even be able to sell it for a few bucks.
Hell, a buddy of mine turned his blown engine into a hookah.

yep. if you have a little free time and some know how you could make a cool table as mentioned above. honestly, you may be lucky to break even on gas taking it to the scrap yard. they might pay 6$/100#'s for just the bare block. if you take in a complete shortblock, they consider it a mixed load and will cut the price about in half. and that's on the high side. lately scrap prices have been WAY down. I have been very dissapointed last few times taking stuff in. hell if you don't want to mes with it I'll take it and make a table lol

That table idea sounds cool. The hookah idea sounds even cooler. When my old motor blew, I ended up selling the cams, timing cover, and took the heads to a recycling place and got like $8 from them. Pretty disappointing as I used to bring bags of aluminum cans to the recycling place up north as a kid and would get $20+ each trip. Ended up having 2 scrap guys come get the rest of the block and take it away for free.
