Vortex Motorsports Will Never Be The Same
For the Honda-driving Red-Bull guzzling, hamburger-eating miscreants among us, Vortex Motorsports, site of a few Saturday morning "Auto Cafe/Cars and Coffee" meets, several months ago, .............things will never be the same.
On November 12, sponsored by TampaBayUncorked dot org,
you could bring your favorite bottle of red wine to share, as you browsed a display of Ducati motorcycles, Ferraris and other exotic cars as you listened to DJ Denny D, snacked on light hors d 'ovres, participated in raffles and earned prizes for the most creative wine label, during the Tampa Bay Uncorked event.
It ran from 8 to 11P-M. A portion of the proceeds benefitted Wheels Of Success. Admission was $15 in advance and $20 at the door. plus one bottle of donated wine per guest.
This Saturday night there will be a mass farewell engine rev-up and group burnout at Courtney Campbell Causeway to signal the end of an era.

Any idea why they are going out of business? They've been around forever. My dad used to drive by their old location in Drew Park so we could look at the old VW's and Porsches they had out front.
