For the people who don't stop. Have fun with that...

 

Private rds (aka sub divisions, parking lots etc) have no authority from what I have always been told. If this is true, I'm gunna run one in front of the police man.

 

Where I work at all our signs on our property are not DOT approved. Because of the height and shit. To get them DOT approved will be very expensive. If it were then the cops could hand out tickets on our property. But since they aren't a cop can't come on our property park somewhere and watch people who pass our stop signs and hand them a ticket. We on the other hand can hand out tickets, hand people 7days, 3days notices, write them up, kick them out, trespass them, even fire them if they work for us.

 

go ahead and not stop then when you hit a kid lets see what happens.

 

Makes sense. I got a friend who installs traffic signals and whenever anyone in the company gets a ticket, they go and measure the speed limit signs, stop signs etc. They have to be x in height and distance from the road.

 

Yup.. +1 on that.

 

so instead of being a man and actually paying the ticket when he was obviously in the wrong they do that... awesome. i hope they see one thats not legal runs it and gets killed in an accident.

 

^ Regardless of where the stop sign is or on what property/street it's located no1 should run it. It is wrong and should be illegal no matter what.

 

If you made $11 an hour and got a speeding ticket and knew exactly how to get out of it, you wouldn't?

I'm not one to bitch and moan about tickets, I like to think the system works, but if I can get out of it, I will.
