Honda VS Ford
I've been looking at getting a new car for a few months now... and I have to say i'm pretty unimpressed with the choices out there right now. It used to be easy to find several cars I wanted, now I'm left with but a few choices.
What I found most interesting is, none of them were Hondas. I *maybe* could stretch it out to the Accord coupe, but that just looks like a bloated Scion tC to me. Ewww .... how about that Crosstour? CRZ looks good at certain angles, but has no balls.
In fact, the more I thought about it, the more Ford looks better. Seems like every model they are putting out is quality (bout time they lived up to that Job 1 claim from 15 years+ ago). The Fusion, Taurus, F150, Mustang, and even all the way down to the new Fiesta are all very appealing, well built cars.
What a stark contrast from 10 years ago, when Honda was the one putting out the best cars and Ford was still putting cheap plastic on the dash and mouse fur on the seats.
Just an observational commentary

Ford has really stepped their game up and I agree there are no Honda models currently out that really have any wow factor. Its all economy now. If it wasnt so expensive to swap the CRZ then it would be real fun, but you just bought a car for that much and your dropping another $10k or so for a swap? Not worth it. I like Nissan's new vehicles.
Ford and well built, doesn't go together. But yes I do agree, honda newest styles is nothing to write home about... but still reliable and economical as always. Now, have you looked into the Acura line? those TSX are pretty sweet!
That new tsx makes me wanna hurl. The guys who designed the ass of the new camaro must have done the front end of the acura for it to be so fugly.
i recently bought a new hyundai gencoupe and i can say that i am really impressed with the quality of the car...the handling is outstanding, interior is high quality...i got the base model and it's loaded with features other companies would make you pay out the ass for...i have the 2.slow turbo model so power isn't amazing but i'm happy with it since i dont race or thrash on my car...fuel economy is great and the customer service is the best i've ever dealt with...plus i got free oil changes for life, free ipod hookup, and free xm sat radio...i would seriously recommend you go and test drive the new hyundai lineup, you'll be surprised
edit: and no i don't work for hyundai

New Hyundai's are pretty nice. They too stepped their game up. It all depends on what your looking for in a vehicle. I'm not a fan of the newest Acura line, I like the models before this style they didnt hav those sharp, edgy front and rear ends. BTW that Taurus could be designed by a 10 year old. Its a very basic round shape.
