A few years back I purchased a tag for 160. With tax taxes and fees it came out to about 185. It went on a 95 Honda Civic 2dr sohc 1.6L. I highly doubt taxes will be over $100.00 to register. Registration usually goes by weight of the vehicle. If you purchase a tag for $225 and have it registered on your vehicle for about $57.00 including taxes that is still under $300.00. My 05 Montego weighs a little under 4k curb weight.

Thank God they're somewhat cheap still, somethin like $25 to transfer a title. Good luck getting a first time tag.. the prices are so outrageous now.

"Oh hey the state is broke we need more money, let's just rape the hardworking struggling citizens of their hard earned money because paperwork and 15 minutes of our time has to be worth at least $350.00!" Greedy fucks.

i'm sure you can find a way to tie the price hike to Obooboo and the rest of his democratic goonies.... they probably cut funding to some state level program and the state had to compensate for it.
I know it wasn't to keep up with employee pay costs and what not as they laid a bunch of people off, and never replaced them, and next to no one got their annual raises.
Almost makes you wonder were that money is really going....
they'd like you to believe it goes to maintaining the roads...

I paid UNder $8.00 to transfer my tag off of my 98 Honda Passport to my 05 Mercury Montego when I purchased it. I still have my old registration to prove it. It says like $7.87 or something.
