need intercooler help
Ok so i have an intercooler for my supercharger but i'm having trouble finding an intercooler i can run water through. almost every intercooler i'm finding has a 2.5 or 3in inlet/outlet. I simply don't need inlets that big but don't have supercharger knowledge. if anyone can help, thanks.
just search "water to air intercooler" and you will get a crapload of options.
heres the first site that came up

^found that. I'm also on a couple cobalt forums asking the same question but no responses yet. and i didn't post this thread under gm tech because anytime i do it takes 2 weeks to get a damn answer lol figured i'd get a fast answer here. and thought maybe someone could help point me in the right direction.
so far every blower cooler i found is for a mustang. didn't know if i could use it as a universal one or what.

Correcting my answer based on new knowledge from another poster......
Thanks for the clarification
Sometimes when people post, I never know if their terminology is correct or not for what they want to do. I tend to think in terms of intercoolers related to turbochargers and I thank you for the clarification.
...and that being said....if you are using an intercooler to put water into, to cool a supercharger,.....essentially a radiator.....to some people....... larger diameter openings will not only allow better flow, but will increase the cooling capacity. I am now presuming the purpose of this device is to cool down the supercharger........
Also my thanks to stevey for posting the links

superchargers are water cooled. not air cooled. I'm not running a turbo.
thanks for the input

^Modern turbos are typically water cooled, but that's not what he was talking about. He was talking about air cooling the charge air, getting more exposure to the cooling air with larger inlets.

^don't have a turbo. I have a supercharger. I was just wondering where i could get a replacement front mount water cooler for my cobalt.
Im confused... So does this cool the air charge coming out of the supercharger? Like an air-to-water intercooler? Or is it a small radiator that cools the supercharger itself?

this has nothing to do with cooling the air. so ya, your basically right Will, it's a radiator for the supercharger lol
but the only ones i've found are for cobra's and I haven't heard shit from anyone on any cobalt forums haha
