Why doesn't anyone ever make intake piping from hard plastic. I can understand if the car is under forced induction with an intercooler, but on a naturally aspirated car, don't you want the coldest charged air entering that pipe? Any sort of metal is going to going to get hot, and maintain heat sitting under the engine bay.

The intake does look like good work though.

I made mine with plastic tubing, a fiber glass cold box, and alum. cover for filter maintance.


You might want to get a bypass valve if you have the filter down by the bottom of the bumper.
